Michael, Now I know why you weren't crazy about coming to northern New
England in early May to talk to a bunch of old foggies!!!!! It won't be
nude bathing weather here for at least 6 weeks. Ruth

Schools out;
The sand Island light house meeting ended at eleven and I was hitting
waves by noon under blue skies and hot sun on a picture perfect beach of
sparkling white sand that seems to lazily drift for ever out into the Gulf
Dauphine island (so named for the child prince of France in 1730 ) lays 12
miles off the Mississippi/Alabama coast in the pristine emerald blue waters
of the Gulf of Mexico
You can see the 1871 brick masterpiece from Mobile as it has served the
community as a beacon of hope and maritime commerse for over 130 years .
However to get out there you must catch a working barge as it is still
another 4 miles out ifrom here in water that is a fisherman's paradise.
