Hi.

Just to add to Jeff's comments, I've owned two receivers where the FM band 
ran from 76 to 108 MHz--my Sony ICF2010, and the Magnavox D2999 that I used 
to own.  By the way, as a communications receiver the Magnavox was so-so, 
but the audio section in that radio was awesome.  It was nice and 
sensitive, but the selectivity wasn't there for serious work.  Good radio 
to take to the mountains on vacation, though.  And it had keypad entry, so 
the accessibility was pretty good.
