If I buy a SCSI scanner with a SCSI card will it work for the Zip
drive. If so can someone recommend a scanner that will do that. If
not can someone recommend a SCSI card that will work for a Zip drive
and a SCSI CD Rom burner (plan to buy one in future).
Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Most scsi scanners come with isa scsi cards (if one is pprovided with
scanner) so you must have an open isa slot to use them. I had an HP 4c
scanner which I daisy chained a scsi iomega zip drive off of and everything
worked perfectly but Hp did not guarantee that any other scsi devices would
work with their card. The card also did not have an interior connection for
internal scsi devices. I bought a pci scsi II card for under a $100.00
which also had an interior connection for internal devices such as cd rw.
Hope this helps.
