I wouldn't, because hopefully I'd keep my battery in my refreshable Braille
display charged. I can get at least twenty hours on it, so it works great for
net control and traffic handling.

Hi, John,
My braillers need repairing but I wouldn't keep them in an attic or cellar.
I got my first one in 1959 and it's an old friend to me. I got the second
one in 1979. It needs more repair than the first one does. The newer
braillers aren't made with as good quality as the older ones were.
I'm curious. If you needed to write down net check-ins during a power
outage, would you use the slate and stylus?
