Is your menu item to switch from mic to computer set to computer? I think
that's menu item 30. Make sure that's set to mic, that should be the setting
with the default beep, that could be all it is. Also, make sure that's the
right menu item too, I haven't had mine in probably a year so it's tough to
remember.
