Hi.

I have a Ten Tec 228 tuner that I use sometimes, although I also have auto
tuners. The method that I use on the Ten Tec 228 is to reduce transmitter
power to 5 watts or less (The TS2000S only goes down to 5 watts), and then
I use the LDG Electronics TW1. I set it up for producing a tone that dips
in pitch as the SWR dips and use that to adjust the tuner, and I can get
pretty darned close using that method. After I get it close, I give the
transmitter full power and make any fine adjustments that are
necessary. That will usually get me an SWR that is pretty close to 1:1.
