The voice chip for the TS-570 is pretty cheap, and the radio is very
accessible. I used one for 8 years, and it's now the backup to my TS-2000. I
have no complaints about the radio at all, very accessible, sounds good,
hears pretty good. The receiver's a little noisy, I think so anyway, but I
went from the TS-940 with a few mods to make it quieter than anything I've
heard yet, to that and then to the TS-2000 which is quieter, but I think the
440, and my 120 were noisier, I know the 440 was though I miss that radio
and my TS-120 seems to be about the same as I remember the 440 being. 
Anyway, you can't go wrong with the 570. I have no intention of getting rid
of mine, it's served me well for 8 years and I'm sure it will for a while
yet to come.
