This is not entirely true.  We subscribe to satellite, but we get 
our local channels off of air, so we'll need a box. Direct tv charges 
extra to get these on the dish.  So I guess we'll eventually need a box.
  Also, we only have one tv hooked to the receiver, but a couple other 
tvs in the house we use for local settings.  Damn this digital tv 
anyhow!!!
