Thanks guys for your responses.  My TMV7a seems to only be putting out 12 
watts on high power, to where it should be higher.  I understand that the 
radio will put out diminished power if overheated/and or high SWR, but the 
latter in only 1.5:1.  Will send it out next week.  Gary KB2YAA
