I have a Diamond 770 mobile antenna on both the motor home, and our regular 
vehicle, and they seem to do very well for the price.  I think the last one 
I bought was approximately $40.  You can get them with either the NMO 
connection, or a regular SO239.

Obviously, for a permanent home installation, you can go much higher and 
better, but I'm happy with mine for how I use it.
