OK, now I know some of you on here know how to work with your hands, as
well as your heads, so now I have a question. Do any of you know where I
might be able to get plans, and some instructions, for how to construct a
wooden sap gathering tub like my ggrandfather might have used. One of our
sons has a friend who likes to try to do things the "old fashioned" way and
he is wanting to build a gathering tub. For those of you not familiar with
things New England this would be a large tub in which to collect Maple sap
in the spring to be boiled into Maple syrup. And if you've never had Maple
syrup you ain't lived!!!! Send address and I'll send you some.

The only place I can think of that might have what Mark is looking for is
Foxfire books but I'm not sure they would have the info either. Thanks,
Ruth
