The MC-60 is another one I have no luck on the newer radios with at all,
that crap unshielded cable between the base and the mic itself will bite you
bad on these new radios, by that I mean it caused RF feedback on my TS-2000
and my TS-570. I've had 2 of them like that and I think mine's going back in
the box and possibly up for sale. I might keep it for a UHF/VHF radio down
the road, but I'm not even sure about that. I'll be putting it back in the
box though, I just can't stand to look at the thing anymore. If I bypass the
base and hook the mic cord direct to the mic everything's alright but I
guess the unshielded cable won't hurt me so much on FM so we'll see how that
goes. The MC-80 is a good one, I'll keep that with the 570. MC-50 is a good
one too, I have one of those for my TS-520. It sounds good on the 120 as
well, but for other projects I'm going to have to sell the TS-120 I think. 4
HF radios is more than enough anyway, 5 is real bad when you don't have room
for them all. The TS-120 is just the one I think I'd miss the least.
