just on the old 440, best ever sounding 440 I ever heard was one that 
had an mc50 up it's front end. although, the old mc60s weren't a bad mic 
either. I've owned an mc50, mc60 and mc85 and was happy with the 
performance of all three. teh best mike I have here nowa days is my 
yaesu yd-148
