I'm wondering if something, like a piece of useful software or EBook, could
quickly be created, then sold online through PayPal or some other income
generating system.  Perhaps this would be a way to raise a lot of funding.
You could also visit MyPowerMall to see if you can get help from that.
One thing this company does is to sponsor children through the
One-Child-at-a-Time program.
