Hi Colin,
I'm getting the new Asus EEE PC900X with a 12 gig solid state drive and XP
home installed. Asus also offers a Linux version with a 20 gig drive, but
I've been playing with Ubuntu, and its not ready for prime time yet.I'm sure
that NVDA or system access will work, but I was hoping that the video was
conventional so that I can install WinEyes. If you have that guy's info,
please pass it along.

i haven't personally, but a guy on the blind ad list got one a while back
and had nothing but great things to say about it.
He was running win eyes or jaws I can't remember which.
I think he was running the speech software from a flash drive as well.
Great little machine and totally versitile if you want to use external
hardware along with what is already on board.
This individual also took off the stock operating system, something akin to
linux, and installed xp home with no difficulties whatsoever. The current
asus EEE's may now ship with xp already onboard, i think that was one of the
upgrades that was in the works last time i checked about 6 months ago.
I can get the guys info and give you his email address if you don't already
have it.
