You may be right Jeff, but with the error correction and encoding
schemes who knows.  If I had not been on a tech support call all
afternoon with a client I would do some research.  Perhaps Thursday.
One new concept I am intrigued by is the fantacell which will be in the
States in a year or late 2008.  This will allow smaller cell linking to
the larger cell towers to cover hard to reach areas now.

I don't know, but wifi I don't think would work out well.  With E skip
or with the top of the sunspot cycle and the way those freqs are I don't
know.  What about teh VHF high freqs?  The lower ones couldn't be
usefull for any kind of trunking either for the same reasons, but the
VHF high could.
