    That's exactly what I thought, Dave. ... But, several times during the 
contest, I lost my recorded message.

I don't think there's anything wrong with the rig here;  it's probably just 
operator error--something I'm doing that cancels the message out somehow.

Will keep working on it, and look for any suggestions others might have.

I'm still fairly new at the TS480 yet, but really love it.
