Hi Richard,

Well Winamp is a fine player but it's structure is unconventional. I don't
know what screen reader you are using, but if JAWS, you have a rather
extensive list of all sorts of keystrokes by pressing insert + H in any of
the open Winamp Windows. Lacking that, if you press and release the alt key
you are in what amounts to the menu system, arrow down and when you hear
Winamp or Winamp sub-menu, press enter on this item. Under this menu, you
will see all sorts of items and sub-menus that will give some associated
keystrokes.

Here are a few to get you going.

For files already loaded into the player:
play = X
Stop = V
pause = C
move ahead one track in your playlist = B
move back one track in your playlist = Z

Toggle keystrokes:
open/close main window = alt + W
open/close playlist editor = alt + E
open/close the equalizer = alt + G
open/close the media library = alt + L
open/close the video window = alt + V

view file information = alt + keyboard 3
play file (browse dialogue opens) = L
play folder (browse dialogue opens) shift + L

You can make small increments in volume up or volume down by pressing the up
and down arrow keys.
You can move around in a track while it's playing by 5 seconds forward and
backward if you press left and right arrows.

Bookmarking a stream= alt + I
Jump to time (while playing a file type in value) = control + J

There are a number of more esoteric type features that you can find in the
help screen and under the menus.

good luck.

Subject: winamp

Hi;
Now that I have successfully installed winamp and it seems to come up as the
default program, I don't see a menu. Lots of playlist info but I expected
to be able to arrow around and see some mention of play, stop etc.
All ideas gratefully received.
Richard
