Hendry Gomez Back Jammeh’s AIDS, Asthma Cure

Hendry Gomez, leader of the opposition Gambia People’s Democratic Party
(GPDP), has backed Jammeh’s Aids and Asthma treatment, saying the Gambia
leader’s claims are truthful and have nothing to do with politics.
Mr Gomez, who made these remarks in a telephone conversation from Germany,
said President Yahya Jammeh is anointed by God to discover Aids cure in
Africa.
The GPDP leader, who said his open support for Jammeh’s Aids treatment was
prompted by sceptics, called on Gambians, Africans and the governments and
people of Western countries to accept President Jammeh’s claims “because
even the patients themselves have publicly confirmed” the efficacy of the
treatment.
“ I am surprised that people still have doubt over Jammeh’s claims, but we
should know that Allah can do anything He wishes,” he said.
“They said Aids came from Africa, and now the cure for Aids has come from a
small country in Africa call The Gambia. What is therefore the
impossibilities,” he rhetorically queried.
The leader of the youngest Gambia opposition party added further: “ This is
not part of politics but the reality. I am an opposition and will remain
opposition. But I must accept God’s decision. This has been proven by
Jammeh’s use of the Quran and herbs for the whole process of his cure. ”
According to Gomez, he was initially sceptical, pondering over whether
Jammeh is a President or a Doctor, “but after seeing the proof I knew that
Jammeh can do it”.
“ When it was time for politics, I stood against the ruling party, but this
claim [the Aids cure treatment] is part of development. This is promoting
health and a healthy nation is a wealthy nation,” he added.
He declared GPDP’s full support for Jammeh’s Aids cure treatment and called
on all and sundry to support the initiative.
