Let me put in a plug for my friends at Kopelov Cut Stone. Though they are based in New Mexico and the bulk of their work is out West, Labe knows how to find historic quarries and he is an expert cutter, carver and installer-- he may know some good sources in the U.S for sandstone. Check out their website at http://www.kopelovcutstone.com
I meant to write in about Kopelov in the previous discussion involving imported stone, but forgot. Must have been distracted by the hot red wine on my steps.

Would anyone be so kind as to suggest current sources and suppliers of sandstone to match old NJ sandstone in massive masonry construction, now ranging in color from buff to red to brown, and any recommendations/caveats on both. many thanks. Christopher Tavener.
