Hi;
I figured everything out with the txt files but was curious if others had
problems with the mp3 files. I have been quite happy with the unit and its
reasonably affordable especially after talking about the Braille note and
pack mate.

The CD was fine, a text file and an mp3 file. I think they used neo-speech
Paul to make the audio from the text. I can send it to you if you want.
Never knew about the Handy Ham connection.
In Wisconsin their is a program through the power company and maybe the
state, to help low income people make their homes more energy effecient. It
also supports businesses trying to do the same thing. They came out and did
all kinds of stuff, We payed 10 per cent of the cost. I explained about
accessability, since they put in a new thermostat. They actually listened
went to the URLs I sent them, purchased the vip 1007, and installed it.
Quite amazing!!! Equal access sometimes works. Now they can do the same
thing for other blind or low vision custommers.
