You don't need a $199 watt meter. The voltage controoled oscellator across
a watt meter will work. RNIB might know the British equivalent of handy
hams, or maybe handy hams is an international organization. Not sure.
The reason I like the watt meter rather than the SWR meter, is that with SWR
meters, the sensativity drops the lower in frequency you go. The watt meter
provides enough voltage to bring the oscillator to full pitch with 15 watts
on all bands, down to 160 meters.
