you seem to have the worst luck john.
Mine has fallen I don't know how many times on the concrete floor of my
shack and still seems to be working as it did when I first got it.
I am now firmly knocking on wood I don't doubt.
The next drop will probably be it's last.
I do wonder though if there is a pot inside to adjust the volume.  Its
obscenely loud.  I put a couple strips of electrical tape over the speaker
grill just to tone it down to a reasonable level.
I am also waiting for the day those leads break.  They seem to be so
flimsy...but apparently they are strong enough since they have been yanked
on, stepped on, twisted time and time again...and no ill effects yet.
but if they do break, or if the meter breaks....i guess another 40 bucks
isn't the end of the world.
