hey Gary:
I keep my eye on listings for the ts570D, DG and S models on ebay and
qth.com.
They don't usually go for more then $800 these days, and that is typically
with a number of accessories...power supply, desk mike, filters, things like
that.
the rig has been discontinued as you probably are aware, so their resale
value has gone down quite a bit in the past couple years.
If the ts570S has a voice synth in it, plus the microphone, probably 750 at
the top end and around 550 to 600 at the lower.
If you are interested in buying it, offer 600 or 650 and that would probably
be pretty fair.
The radio is an excellent performer, and the lower prices on them now in no
way reflect upon poor performance or any inadequacies they may have.
If you are looking at this radio, find out how old it is, and if the memory
battery has been changed in it...since the batteries tend to go south after
about 5 years or so.
And before i get a whole slew of folks saying that they have never replaced
their memory backup batteries in the ts570, it depends on usage and weather
you keep the power supply running and just switch the radio off, or if the
power supply is killed each time operating is finished. The battery will
last longer, probably nearly forever if the PS is left on all the time, but
will go in around 5 years if the PS is always turned off. Without power to
the rig, the battery has to maintain the memories...and perhaps settings as
well i'm not sure, until the radio is powered back up.
Anyway, if the rig is more then a couple years old, then the resale value
will naturally be lower even if it has had minimal use.
The MC60 still fetches pretty good prices online, i've seen them,
occasionally for around $60 to $100.

I have no clue about the R5000, but they still get pretty decent resale
value for the wide band receivers online.
