The TS-2000 was made before the VGS1, figure, it's been out now about 6
years. The VGS1 was introduced in the TMV71A which came out about a year ago
at most. The VGS1 is just the next generation. I"m sure the next HF radios
Kenwood comes out with will use it. Now that the TS-570 is discontinued, I'm
sure something's coming out soon.
