Hi All,
I must admit that as long as I've been a ham now, I kind of get jaded about
contesting and other activities. this year I have barely turned on the
radio in the 160 meter contest but did hand out a few Q's last night. But
this morning, about ten minutes ago, I got blown away. I had turned on the
radio on 160 CW and was tuning around looking to see who might still be on
the lonely band this time of day, about 8:00 AM now as I sit here. Lo and
behold, I heard a VA7 in BC who I worked without turning on the amp. Then,
I tuned down frequency and caught the end of a call. W0CWA? HMM, kind of
late for a 0 station here in the Seattle metro area but turned on the solid
state amp and listened again. Wow! RW0CWA, now you're talking! I called
him and got him first try. I even got a recording of him.
No, not working me. I wasn't thinking that far ahead. <GRIN>
Anyway, just goes to show you it's never too late for a thrill.
Good morning all and very73.
Kevin :)
