I like the statement that was made by the person that said that it was all
based on budget. Ultimately, that is the final decision maker. By all
means Tom, if you can aford the 2000, then get it, I'm thinking that it's
not going to be much bigger then the IC718, and if it is, then a simple
search on the internet will tell you that. If it is much larger, then you
can simply save a bundle of money by purchasing the ts480. I think that
size of price, and size of radio will be the two main deciding factors,
since it seems that there's really no definitive answer here as to which is
better for transmit and recieve. Yoou're going to get and have gotten some
that swear by the ts480, and some that swear by the ts2000. My line of
thinking is, if it's the same or close to the same size as the 718, and if
you have the cash for it, then grab the 2000. But, seeing as how the 480 is
going for less then a thousand bucks, and there is an accessibility
advantage, as well as a size advantage, I'd jump on that 480. But that's
just a personal oppinion, and you know what they say about oppinions,
they're like noses, and all smell. *smile*

Chris, w8cjs
