Hi.

Has anyone tried two of these as a dipole on 75 meters, and if so, how did
you make out? I find that a G5RV really plays badly on 75 meters in this
location, and when a friend swept it with an antenna analyzer, it is
apparent why. On 3.925 MHz where our section net for NTS meets, the
impedance without an antenna tuner is just 4 ohms! It is much healthier
down around 3.500 MHz. It speaks volumes about the MFJ auto tuner because
it will even transform a load like that, but it actually brings the SWR at
the radio down to 1.4 to 1, but the efficiency is terrible! Since I use 75
so much, I'm looking for a better multi-band antenna and plan to scrap the
G5RV as soon as I can find something suitable that will fit in my yard.

I've been tempted to look at the ham stick idea as a way to get a quick and
dirty antenna playing on one spot frequency on the band, knowing full well
that the bandwidth will be really tight down there.
