Hi.

If the radio has the Icom EX310 voice synthesizer, it is fairly 
accessible.  There are no menus, hence no need for programming software or 
JFW.  However, I think it is possible to control the radio through third 
party software with the appropriate computer interface between the radio 
and the computer.

If the radio does not have the EX310 voice synthesizer, they are quite 
difficult to locate.  I sold my IC271H after I lost my vision because I 
could not lay my hands on the voice board.
