Hi, all.
To some, the answer to the following question may seem obvious, but based on
some questions and responses I got while on my extended RV road trip last
Summer, the answer may not be so clear.
What is the proper designator that I should be using with my call sign when
traveling in the RV?
Originally, I had thought "mobile" or / M would be the best, since the RV is
a vehicle, and whether stationary or moving, I'm using my mobile set-up.
However, while some agree with that designation, others have not, suggesting
that when I'm stationary, as in being camped somewhere, I should use
"portable" or /p as my designator.
Still others have said I need use no special designator at all.
I just happened to think of this question this morning, and would be
interested in anyone's thoughts.
Thanks as always, and 73 from Tom Behler: KB8TYJ
