As I understand it, Tom, the ladder line is supposed to be more vertical. That
choke seems to help with that. I've been able to play with my two g5rvs and
have experimented with that a bit. It seems when there are troubles with them
they show up first on 75/80m and on 10m. I suppose in the end there's no way
but to experiment. I think the choke will help but it may not solve the
problem. I have found that ladder line tends to break more easily than you'd
think, at least internal strands, so you might put an ohm meter on it and see if
it shows right from one end to the other. A small ultrasound with amp or field
strength meter will also help in looking for breaks in it sometimes.

Tom
