doesn't the radio have to be put into a certain mode though to accept dtmf
commands?
I think the way i worked it before was the radio would receive the dtmf
commands on UHF from the HT, and then you could only control VHF frequencies
and the VHF side of the rig.
Or if you wanted to send commands via VHF, you could control only UHF.
It seems to me there was some silly regulation in the US against controlling
a radio remotely using 2M...
I really can't remember what I did, but i think i had to set my radio up to
activate once a dtfm code was entered from the remote user and then you
could punch in the command to change frequency or power or what ever.
