Hi Buddy,
That sounds like an interesting antenna.

I'm sure Elecraft wants to make their k3 as accessible as possible.

As a blind person I just get tired sometimes of waiting.

Think what I'm going to do for my current situation to run low power qrp is
the following.

Buy a suitable rig

Get the sgc model 211 auto tuner that only requires power from your
transceiver to tune

And use the mfj kit with loops of various sizes and a stand.

I understand this tuner will tune a loop and I can easily set the whole
thing on mmy balcony.

I'm also considering either the High Sierra screwdriver antennas or the
TW10.

I think the mfj loops and sgc tuner will be a cheaper solution.

I'm alsoconsidering getting the Ten-Tec Argonaut V and controling it with a
computer.

I'm also in no hurry so may just wait and get the lower powered Elecraft k3.

If I really get impatient I might just buy the Kenwood TS480SAT that seems
to be quite accessible right out of the box.

My intention is to try to run either cw or ssb or psk31 from my apartment.

73,

Eric
