Why do you need to convert before burning even WMP will do that
automatically for example mp3 to CD no problem

It's been a while since I used Roxio, but in version 4, image files are
.CL4. They are not the actual music, but the files that the CD copier uses
to tell it where the music files are located. Even if the program would let
you copy them to a CD, they're not really what you want.
