I ran down the manual for this radio and it gives about 6 to 12 hours
typically as operating time so that is indeed good. And if I get a larger
capacity battery, why, its infinite. LOL I went to Batteries America, and
they have 2, one is 1800mAh and the other is a whopping 3500mAh.

Package deal with the 1800 and rapid charger looks nice too, $90.

Now on antenaes, I definitely would get a mag mount, I dont own a car.
;) Been reading my technician study book and it suggests an antenna for
indoor use rather than the duckie. I think I am going to put this on my
wish list for a while so I can research this further.

Thanks for the link to Batteries America. And keep the feedback coming.
;)
