colds actually begin in the ears, if you think about it, it makes sense; you know that tickle in the back of your throat? before you get snotty and feverish? that is actually the virus in your ear. at least that is the progression for me; tickle at the backk of throat, then comes the nasty sore throat, and then comes the snot.  Somebody actually went to the trouble of measuring how much snot we produce. When I heard the amount, I thought, well, he's never measured my snot! he said it was less than a fourth of a cup! 

Speaking of ears, Kat, how are you doing with your hearing? have you tried listening to Joan Baez yet?

good advice from the doc.  hydrogen peroxide in the
ear? well the ears and nose and sinuses are all
connected by ducts. i do not know how all that works.
