Current draw on these things is almost nil during standby, and also very
low while it is speaking. LDG recommends a supply of 200 ma, which isn't
very much. If the wall wart isn't included with your unit, it will come
with a cord with dc plug at one end and bare wires at the other. You can
easily power both units from any old wall wart or 12 v supply you may have
laying around without having to buy the "official" and no doubt over priced
wall warts.
