Hi,
I never use the auto tuner on my ts2000, I lose 16 watts through the 
internal tuner, and if I use my mfj986 tuner with a dummy load, I have 0 
watts power loss.  I don't think that the loss is actually 0, but I measure 
as much power coming out of the 986 as the power that I measure going in to 
the 986.
