What I have seen so far is about how I see it, too. I mean,
there isn't a man of God in the Bible who didn't fall down when he
just thought he was in the presence of God. I just asked the
question because a couple of days ago, I was sitting on my trusty
old deck swing again and the thought suddenly came to mind that I
was no longer afraid of God. This has to do with some other
things and I could feel those other things all around this thought
but I couldn't identify them specifically. Yet I was aware of
other things being present with the thought itself. The thought,
of course, was in the context of knowing God in a way that is no
longer fearful as in, I am not good enough, I'm a lousy Christian,
I'm not doing enough, I've never done enough, I will never be able
to do enough, I don't know enough, and that's just for starters.
That type of fear of God I realized was gone. What I saw others comment on
related to their feelings seemed to be the same.
Phil.
