Kathy,

I haven't been trying to stay on a low carb diet for the last few months due
to a number of things. Money being the biggest problem. Buying the glucose
supplies for the talking meter is pretty expensive although the insurance
covers most of it. Plus, to eat that way costs a little more buying the
proper things you can eat to keep your blood sugar down. I am still going
every three months to the doctor for a blood test and the numbers are in the
normal range so that is good. I did get sciatica again the first of
September and my left leg is still very stiff and weaker than the right but
I've started doing some easy stretching exercises I was taught last year by
the physical therapy people. So, in short, I still have a long ways to go
but over all, it is better.

Phil.
