Hi Colin.

I didn't even realize that it would take mechanical filters. What does it
use? Are they the typical YK88S and YK88C series filters? Have you
actually heard a TS2000S with any of those filters installed, and if so
could you comment upon what the receive sounded like with the filter
installed? I don't think I would do it for CW, but crystal filters for SSB
and AM might be kind of nice. Oh, I could work with the radio indefinitely
as it is, but I just don't like the DSP bandpass filtering as well as I
like the crystal filtering in my older Kenwood TS690S. It isn't a big
enough annoyance to cause me to get rid of the radio, but more of a
curiosity as to whether there is a noticeable improvement with the extra
filtering.
