Tom,
I wonder if it was nothing more than a loose connection. However, I wonder
about the fact that you had the same problem when you connected the radio to
that deep cycle battery. Was the battery charging through that old Astron
supply? If so, maybe the battery was lowering the voltage, or maybe the
supply itself wa sagging. No matter what the problem, I'm glad you got it
solved.
