when did this problem begin?
or is this the first time you have noticed it?
Also, how long did you transmit on the 746 with the G5RV having a high SWR
on 40 and 80?
If you transmitted regularly with a high swr, the finals could be going
south.
i presume you don't have a tuner or some other device in line between the
rig and the SWR meter right?
