a note on the intermod/adjacent frequency interpherence thing.
the sub receiver tends to pick up allot more of that nasty stuff then the
main receiver does on vhf and UHF.
there is one particular frequency, 147.420 to be exact, which has an IRLP
link on it here locally, and when i listen to it using the sub receiver,
there is a pile of crap that comes blasting in almost all day on it. As
soon as i switch to the main band receiver, that stuff practically
disappears on the same frequency, except for the occasional really loud
burst.
There are a couple trunking and multi-system repeater sites close to me that
bleed like crazy...not to mention the paging sites that always cause havoc.
Again, the main band receiver seems to be much better at filtering then the
sub band receiver, and I don't know why that is.
I haven't noticed less sensativity on the main band receiver that could
account for less interpherence...
have you noticed anything similar on the ts2000 lue?
