About 6 years ago, Cliff rebuilt both of the PLL boards in my TS440. The
failure of these circuits is common as these rigs age, but not all shops
will take them on.

I was delighted when I learned that he was back in business.

Some of you may remember that I lost a THF6 when it sprouted feet, wings,
wheels, or some other means of escape last fall. Just this week, I was all
but given one that will not power up, even from external power.

After the discussion today, I e-mailed Cliff from his web page to see if he
repaired these little rigs.

My timing must have been perfect. My message was sent just before dinner,
and I had an affirmative answer for dessert. He even speculated as to what
he thought the problem might be.

While I think the problem is really a recent winner of the "Golden
Screwdriver" award, I'm shipping the THF6 off next week for him to have a
look inside.
