If you're using your screen reader through the sound card you have and don't
have the option of an external synth, you'll need the second sound card. You
don't want jaws or what ever screen reader you have going out over the same
sound card you're doing PSK31 on. If you're just listening you can pull it
off but when it comes to transmitting, the last thing you want is Jaws going
out on the air. It's been done. lol. I wasn't the one to do it but did hear
about someone who did that a couple years ago.
