I simply was not finding a Braille watch that I liked the appearance of
so went cold turkey. I have wanted to look at the Tsot Silent T but the
one jewelry store convenient to me had one in for a short time and
unfortunately I was ill and could not make the trip into the store. I
have not recently checked for this or any other at my local jewelry
stores. My best watch was a Swiss quartz purchased in the mid 1980s or
early 1990s. My first one lasted for 4 years on the original battery
but none have held up that well since. Talking watches have not
impressed me as I cannot surreptitiously check the time of long winded
speakers or such without announcing it to the whole world not to mention
their unintelligibility in high noise situations.

I can understand that, I tend to use note taker clock and computer
clocks more, but still if I even forget to put my watch on after a
shower or something, something's just very very wrong until I realize
what it is and fix it.
