I didn't notice much opening on ten when I was able to get on. Only thing I
notice since the dropping of the code is the concept of asking if a
frequency is in use, and giving room along side one that is in use, seems to
be a thing of the past but I tend to make sure it's known I'm there and was
there and that usually fixes the problem but beyond that, HF is all I'm in
it for. I have UHF/VHF, but mostly that's so I can do the local NTS stuff,
RACES and ARES stuff and so the locals that might need me for something can
get in touch with me for anything. I can't remember more than 1 actual QSO I
went looking for randomly on 2 meters. In fact, the last one I did go
looking for was I just happened to hear some one from Prince Edward Island
on 146.52, from here on 2 meters, that's almost unheard of so I worked him.
Beyond that, I really don't remember the last time I met anyone on there, if
I'm looking for someone to talk to, I go to HF. I think if I had 6 in my
radio here in the house, and I hope to before too long, I'd have fun there
too.
