Hi Howard;

When I had my 480, I tried an MC60A and I had lots of ground issues.

It seems that a couple of wires were reversed in the mic cord.

If you can find out what they are and reverse them, you should be fine.

I've had a 480 and a 2000 and I think I'm going to wait and see if Kenwood
puts out a new hf rig.
