Lou:
It is already a big issue which the organisations for the
blind have been very slow to address.

Some 12 or so years ago I was given a prototype receiver to
play with, from the B.B.C. research labs about 15 miles from
where I live.

It was totally unusable without sighted help.
I reported this to the labs through my personal contact, and
to R.N.I.B. with no avail!

David

Hi.

I'm sorry to say that I think the next great accessibility
hurdle that we as blind people are going to have to fight is
the lack of accessibility in menu driven consumer
electronics and appliances. I think the two big blindness
organizations will have to pull together if they expect to
win this one.
